Shamrock 5k Race Photos & Official Time

Here are the highly-anticipated pictures from the Shamrock 5k...

First, I can't believe that I got 10th in my age group - there were like 650 women in my age group. A.) how did they get this many people to sign up let alone run on a shitty race day and B.) I'm not that fast. Whatevs. I'll take it!

Second, I can't believe I'm even posting these godawful pictures. I've never seen my face subjected to gravity this way, but alternatively my legs are freaking me out here. I can't decide whether it is great or gross?

I'll take you through it...

Official screen shot of the results:

I was a dork and started right at the start. Everyone in this photo passed me. (Can you see me right under the first "i"?)

More starting line concentration-face:

Another start shot - I was so pumped on adrenaline here:

This was pretty far into the course - right near the end....when I'd given up hope and before I heard my name being called out:

Hands down the most disgusting shot of this race. What am I in one of those machines that simulates a parachute free fall? Jowl City USA. Gross.

The only semi-respectable photo from this race. I actually like the composition here and think this is right around the final stretch where I was cheered on by my local homies and felt strong enough to start kicking it in:

I always say I'll order pics but I never do. Do you? Why are these so gross? Why can't I be better adept at locating the official race photographers? Why did I pin my bib right onto the nipple portion of my shirt? So many questions and so few answers.

I have never ordered pics, either. Not even from the marathon, which I swore I would do. I look terrible in them. I didn't think yours were bad at all. At least it doesn't look like you have a front load in your pants like my recent pics.

I always want to order pictures but they are soo expensive from the websites. I wish I could just get one but that usually costs 10 dollars. great job on the race!

LOL - Your post made me laugh. My mother in law always orders one pic from each of my marathons and then mats and frames an 8x10. None of them are very flatering pics, but they are all displayed in my basement.

I never order the pictures, but my mom does! I get marathon pictures for Christmas, haha.

"Jowl City USA." LOL.

I started ordering pictures and love it. I want to back order some too. I want to put them all in a book to one day show my kids. Kinda gay but I know I won't be racing like this forever.

race photos are seldom flattering!

Congrats again for your 10th place finish! You're so speedy! :)

I've never ordered race photos, although I really wanted one from my half last year - but they were UGLY!

Ok - my pictures are so bad, but maybe I'll post them so you're not alone!

And it's the first race of the season in Portland -that's why everyone runs it :)

Haha, they're not that bad. I love that last one. I have a framed one of me at Boston, and one of me and Zach at CIM. It's cheesy but fun. My parents have ordered several including packages (they actualy got the wallet-sized ones, like a school photo! Cute!)

Congrats on 10th in your AG. Awesome!

Great race! I never order the pics because they are so expensive and they never turn out to my liking!
